Our client is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join its growing technology team. This is a hands-on leadership role, combining software engineering, cloud delivery, team mentoring, and technical ownership. You’ll help build and maintain high-quality applications, support scalable solutions on Microsoft Azure, and lead a small development team through day-to-day delivery.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead and mentor a team of developers, supporting their growth and delivery
- Develop and maintain high-quality applications across the full stack
- Build front-end components using React, JavaScript and CSS
- Develop back-end APIs using C#
- Design, develop and optimise SQL databases
- Deploy and manage cloud-based solutions on Microsoft Azure
- Use Terraform to manage infrastructure as code
- Integrate with third-party APIs
- Carry out code reviews and promote engineering best practice
- Troubleshoot technical issues and support continuous improvement
- Work with wider teams to align development activity with business goals
- Monitor and manage Azure costs effectively
