Salary: £53,000 + Overtime

Working on a busy manufacturing site, this Maintenance Engineer will be working as part of a dedicated team to oversee maintenance, repairs, PPM and servicing across both mechanical and electrical pieces of machinery.

Maintenance Engineer’s Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance to maximise plant availability and operational efficiency.
  • Diagnose faults and perform mechanical and electrical repairs to minimise downtime and ensure safe operation.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health & safety, feed safety, and quality standards at all times.
  • Collaborate with production teams to coordinate maintenance schedules and optimise equipment performance.
  • Manage spare parts, maintain accurate records, and support continuous improvement initiatives including energy efficiency.

Skills & Experience Required as a Maintenance Engineer:

  • Multiskilled engineer with relevant qualifications (e.g. City & Guilds Level 3, HNC) in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
  • Proven experience working with planned maintenance systems and responding to breakdowns.
  • Strong health & safety awareness with the ability to work safely and follow risk assessment procedures.
  • Logical problem-solver with strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced operational environment.

Shift Pattern: 2 weeks of days (8 am to 4 pm), 1 week of early (6 am to 2 pm), and 1 week of late (1 pm to 9 pm). During the late shift week, you will also be on call overnight and for this weekend.
