Are you an experienced Technical Manager looking for a senior, varied role where you can lead food safety, quality, compliance and technical standards across CEA, processing and ingredients operations?

This Technical Manager role is a brilliant opportunity for a confident technical and quality professional who takes pride in high standards, enjoys working across multiple operational areas and can provide strong leadership around food safety, quality, compliance and continuous improvement.

As Technical Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Food Safety and Quality Management System across CEA, processing and ingredients operations, ensuring the business remains compliant with legal, customer and certification requirements. You will act as the key technical contact for customers, certification bodies and regulatory authorities, while supporting business growth through effective technical leadership, audit management and customer engagement.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and improving the Food Safety and Quality Management System
  • Ensuring compliance with legislation, BRCGS, Red Tractor and customer standards
  • Developing and maintaining HACCP systems across operational areas
  • Managing audits and maintaining strong audit readiness
  • Acting as the key technical contact for customers, auditors and regulatory bodies

You will need:

  • Senior technical or quality management experience within food, fresh produce, agriculture, processing or ingredients
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety, quality assurance and compliance
  • Proven experience leading internal, external and customer audits
  • Strong communication, leadership, organisation and problem-solving skills

You will need to be proactive, resilient and solutions-focused, with the ability to work effectively under pressure within a fast-moving production environment. You will have high levels of integrity, accountability and professionalism, alongside a strong commitment to health, safety, quality, compliance and continuous improvement.
