HR Business Partner in West Bromwich

We're looking for a confident, commercially minded and people-focused HR Business Partner to join a busy, collaborative team on a six-month fixed-term contract.

You’ll be joining an established business where people really matter, and where your ideas, expertise and ability to make things happen will be genuinely valued.

As HR Business Partner, you’ll be a key member of the operational leadership team, providing practical, proactive and commercially focused HR support.

You’ll have the opportunity to influence people decisions, develop management capability, support change and help create an environment where employees can perform at their best.

HR Business Partner – 6 Month FTC

Midlands | 6 Month Fixed-Term Contract | Salary: Competitive

No two days will be the same!

You will be:

• Partnering with managers and senior stakeholders, providing trusted HR advice, coaching and guidance.
• Managing a broad range of employee relations matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence and performance management.
• Supporting organisational change and helping managers navigate people challenges with confidence.
• Coaching and developing managers to build stronger, more effective teams.
• Supporting recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning and succession planning.
• Identifying learning and development needs and implementing practical solutions.
• Driving employee engagement, wellbeing and effective communication.
• Supporting HR projects, initiatives and continuous improvement.
• Working collaboratively with the wider HR team to deliver people priorities and business objectives.
• Ensuring HR practices remain compliant with employment legislation and best practice.

This role needs someone who can build relationships, influence decisions and bring a positive, solutions-focused approach to HR.

The successful applicant will need:

• Proven experience in a generalist HR Business Partner or similar role.
• Strong employee relations expertise and up-to-date employment law knowledge.
• The confidence and credibility to challenge, influence and support managers at all levels.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, operational environment.
• A pragmatic, hands‑on approach with the ability to balance people needs and commercial priorities.
• Excellent communication, relationship‑building and problem‑solving skills.
• A CIPD qualification, either part or fully qualified, or equivalent experience.
• Experience working with trade unions would be advantageous, but isn't essential.
