Operations Manager Peterborough Salary £55,000 – £65,000 plus benefits. Our client is looking for an Operations Manager to join their leadership team – working across 35000 sq ft of warehousing and production and leading a team of 20 plus across three areas (Production, Finishing, Warehouse) to deliver a seamless production and warehouse operation. Fully utilising your team, you will maximise efficiency, manage cost, meet customer demand, and build a fit for the future operations function – a foundation on which to scale up and grow. As operations manager you must have experience in building and managing multi-functional teams to create a high-performance environment in which the team fully contribute and take pride. Responsibilities of the role: Ensuring accurate forward planning and scheduling of all workflows (daily picks, vehicle loading, goods in, inventory management.) Establishing and managing optimum inventory levels and ensure stock is available and accessible to meet customer demand. Maximising available warehouse space, identifying shortfalls, and building strategies to cope with additional stockholdings to meet peak demand. Managing goods out including transport and distribution via multiple channels (retailer collection, third party transport, courier delivery) Improving operational systems and processes to maximise the efficiency of the operations team. Utilise rapid continuous improvement techniques to develop every aspect of operational efficiency. Contribute to the long-term growth strategy as Operations Subject Matter Expert and fully support the business as it takes the next step in scaling up. To succeed you must demonstrate previous experience working within a fast paced, multi-disciplinary operations team and be able to evidence the ability to create efficiencies, build robust processes and policies and create an engaged and high performing team.
