Job Description
HR Systems, Innovation & Transformation Lead
Location: London
Reports to: VP, Global People Services
Team: People
Lead the reinvention of HR systems through AI and modern technology – transforming the People function for scale, experience, and impact.
The Opportunity
This is a newly created global leadership role focused on transforming HR systems and technology. We're looking for a strategic thinker, a hands-on builder, and a tech-savvy leader who can design and deliver the next-generation people tech stack — powered by automation, AI, and employee-centric design.
You'll sit at the intersection of HR, Product, Engineering, and Data — shaping how people technologies are used to scale globally, enable better decision-making, and create seamless employee experiences.
This role is more than just implementation — it's about building a long-term vision and roadmap for HR systems innovation that aligns directly with business strategy and growth goals.
What You’ll Do
✅ Audit and transform the HR tech stack
Evaluate the current people systems, architecture, and data flows. Identify opportunities to streamline, automate, or modernise platforms and tools.
✅ Design with an AI-first mindset
Embed AI and automation into core people processes — such as onboarding, employee support, talent management, and data reporting — improving efficiency and experience.
✅ Act as the Product Owner for People Technology
Lead a clear roadmap for HR systems development, working in sprints and using product-thinking to prioritise based on user needs and business value.
✅ Collaborate cross-functionally
Partner with IT, Engineering, Data, and HR leaders to align technology with enterprise goals. Drive stakeholder alignment and delivery without relying on formal authority.
✅ Build for scale
Implement systems that enable a seamless employee experience across multiple regions, functions, and business units — with a focus on user-centred design and global applicability.
✅ Be data-driven
Turn insights into action. Use data to inform technology decisions, track adoption, improve processes, and tell compelling transformation stories.
About You
- ✔ Deep expertise in HR systems and technology, including experience with platforms such as Workday, SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, or similar.
- ✔ Proven success in delivering HR digital transformation and driving operational excellence through technology and automation.
- ✔ Hands-on knowledge of AI tools and trends, and how they apply to people operations and employee lifecycle experiences.
- ✔ A product mindset — you understand how to build and manage tech roadmaps, gather user feedback, and iterate on systems for continuous improvement.
- ✔ Strong communicator and influencer, able to manage global stakeholders, including executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
- ✔ Comfortable in high-growth, fast-paced environments where agility, iteration, and experimentation are key to success.
- ✔ Experience working across multiple geographies and cultures, with a sensitivity to local needs and compliance requirements.
- ✔ Analytical and pragmatic — you lead with data and always keep the employee experience at the centre of decisions.
Why This Role Matters
This is a unique opportunity to build something from the ground up. You’ll help redefine what People Technology looks like in a global, scaling company. From legacy replacement to future-ready innovation, you’ll influence how thousands of employees experience their workplace — and how efficiently the People team operates to support them.
