We’re partnering with a high-growth, product-led SaaS business to hire a Director of Engineering to lead a Platform Intelligence function focused on AI-driven product innovation. This is a hands-on leadership role combining engineering management, delivery ownership, and cutting-edge work across GenAI and data-driven product features.
The Role
- Leading the delivery of AI and GenAI-powered product features end-to-end
- Translating data science outputs into scalable platform features (UI + APIs)
- Driving adoption of AI tooling and AI-assisted development practices
- Owning roadmaps, delivery planning, and execution across multiple initiatives
- Managing and developing a high-performing engineering team
- Collaborating with Product, Design, and Data teams to deliver impactful solutions
- Improving delivery predictability, quality, and engineering processes
- Managing cross-team dependencies and stakeholder expectations
- Partnering with architecture on technical direction and system design
What They’re Looking For
- Proven experience leading engineering teams in SaaS environments
- Strong understanding of full-stack systems and API-driven architecture
- Experience delivering AI / ML / GenAI-powered features into production
- Solid knowledge of LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, or agent-based systems
- Experience working closely with Data Science / Data Engineering teams
- Strong delivery mindset with experience owning roadmaps and execution
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
Nice to have:
- Experience with modern stacks (TypeScript, Node, cloud platforms)
- Exposure to data platforms / warehousing (e.g. Snowflake)
- Strong Agile / Scrum background
