Interim Workday Absence & Time Tracking Consultant (Outside IR35)
Contract: 6 months (initially)
Rate: £550+ per day (Outside IR35)
Location: Remote with occasional travel to London
Overview
We are supporting a client who requires an experienced Workday Absence and Time Tracking Consultant to lead the implementation and configuration of Workday’s Absence and Time modules. This is a hands-on delivery role for someone who has implemented these modules end to end before and can hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end to end implementation of Workday Absence and Time Tracking, from design through to go live and hypercare
- Configure and optimise absence plans, eligibility rules, accruals, time entry, validations, and approvals
- Partner with HR, Payroll, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into Workday solutions
- Support testing cycles including unit testing, SIT and UAT, and resolve defects quickly
- Produce clear documentation including configuration workbooks, process maps and admin guides
- Support change, training and handover to internal teams post implementation
Required Experience
- Proven experience implementing Workday Absence and Time Tracking modules (multiple full lifecycle deployments preferred)
- Strong hands-on configuration experience, not just advisory
- Confident working with stakeholders across HR, Payroll and Operations
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with minimal handholding
- Based in the UK and able to travel into London occasionally when required
