Salary: Up to £120,000

We’re supporting a leading UK financial services organisation as they look to hire a Senior Business Analyst to work on high-impact technology initiatives across trading and investment banking systems. This role sits at the intersection of business and technology, translating complex requirements into clear, deliverable solutions.

You’ll work closely with front-office, operations and technology teams to improve platforms, streamline workflows and support regulatory and commercial objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to understand challenges and define clear, actionable requirements
  • Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications
  • Support the delivery of system enhancements across the full SDLC
  • Facilitate workshops, design reviews and stakeholder sessions
  • Act as a key liaison between IT and the business, ensuring alignment on scope, priorities and outcomes
  • Support testing activities including UAT, defect tracking and validation
  • Produce clear documentation and reporting to support delivery and change adoption
  • Contribute to process improvement, automation and efficiency initiatives

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst within financial services / investment banking
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience working across technology delivery lifecycles (Agile and/or Waterfall)
  • Solid understanding of trading or capital markets systems preferred
  • Comfortable with data analysis and requirements documentation
  • Knowledge of SQL and core systems concepts beneficial
