Job Description

Incident Response Tooling & Integration Engineer (Contract)
\n 📍 Location: London (Hybrid – minimum ½ day onsite per week)
\n 💰 Rate: Competitive
\n 🕒 Type: 3-month contract, with potential to extend

As the organisation moves further into production, it is strengthening its incident response capabilities across safety-critical systems and a growing range of technical teams.

  • \n What You'll Be Doing
    \n \n
  • Configure and administer incident management workflows across incident. io, Jira and Slack
    \n
  • Build automated workflows and API integrations between Saa S platforms
    \n
  • Establish escalation logic, on-call routing and notification processes
    \n
  • Develop and implement incident response processes across multiple technical teams
    \n
  • Build monitoring, failure alerts and operational workflows
    \n
  • Test workflows through controlled exercises and live incident simulations
    \n
  • Identify gaps and continuously improve incident response processes
    \n
  • Create clear documentation for workflows, integrations and operational procedures
    \n
  • Work closely with engineering and operational teams to embed new processes
    \n
  • Ensure the tooling and processes are reliable, maintainable and ready for ongoing use
    \n
  • Take ownership of the end-to-end incident response toolchain
    \n

  • \n What They're Looking For
    \n \n
  • Hands-on experience implementing and administering complex incident management workflows
    \n
  • Strong experience with automation, workflow tooling and Saa S integrations
    \n
  • Experience designing escalation paths and on-call routing
    \n
  • Strong understanding of incident response processes and operational tooling
    \n
  • Experience integrating tools through APIs
    \n
  • Proven experience testing workflows through controlled exercises or simulations
    \n
  • Excellent documentation skills and a methodical approach to testing
    \n
  • Strong ownership mentality with the ability to operate independently
    \n
  • Comfortable working across multiple teams and translating complex processes into practical operational systems
    \n

  • Experience with incident. io, Jira and Slack

  • Experience working within automotive, robotics, autonomous systems or another safety-critical environment

  • Experience supporting production systems involving physical products

  • Experience establishing incident management processes from the ground up
    \n
