Your new company A leading international organisation is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to take ownership of payroll operations across multiple European countries. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing global business where payroll is viewed as a strategic function, offering the chance to drive process improvements, enhance vendor relationships, and ensure operational excellence across the region. Your new role As Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing payroll operations across multiple EMEA countries, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining full compliance with local legislation and company policies.Key responsibilities include: Managing end-to-end payroll operations across multiple European countries. Ensuring payroll processes are accurate, compliant, and delivered within agreed deadlines. Managing payroll year-end activities, including P11D and other statutory reporting requirements. Developing, documenting, and improving payroll policies, procedures, and controls. Driving payroll standardisation and continuous improvement initiatives across the region. Monitoring changes in payroll legislation, tax regulations, and employment laws across EMEA. What you'll need to succeed Proven payroll management experience within a multi-country EMEA environment. Strong understanding of EMEA payroll legislation, tax compliance, and statutory requirements. Experience managing outsourced payroll providers across multiple jurisdictions. Strong payroll accounting knowledge, including reconciliations, journals, and reporting. Experience managing payroll year-end processes including P11Ds and related compliance activities. Advanced Excel skills, including reporting, reconciliations, data analysis, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and managing large datasets. Experience working within complex multinational organisations. Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to partner effectively with HR, Finance, vendors, and senior leadership. Demonstrated experience improving payroll processes, controls, and operational efficiency.
