An international Data & Intelligence partner is searching for an additional hands-on data architect to take ownership of a Snowflake-led data platform during a period of major investment. Several large data initiatives are starting, with a clear shift toward operational and product-aligned data use cases which justifies this strategic hire.
Responsibilities
- Lead and guide data engineering and architectural decisions across multiple initiatives
- Design, build, and evolve scalable Snowflake-based data platforms and models
- Translate business problems into practical, working data solutions
- Stay hands-on while providing technical direction
- Enable experimentation while maintaining data quality and reliability
- Influence standards and best practices across distributed data teams
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Lead Data Engineer, Data Architect, or similar senior role
- Hands-on Snowflake architecture experience (critical)
- Experience with DBT, Dagster and/or Apache Airflow (critical)
- 4-5+ years working in production data environments
- Strong data modelling experience (dimensional, Data Vault, 3NF)
- Advanced SQL and solid database design fundamentals
- ELT tooling experience (Fivetran, Airbyte, or similar)
- Python for pipelines, automation, and platform support
- Cloud expertise within Azure
