Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality care and support to individuals in care homes and home care settings. Duties
- Assisting clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Supporting clients in accordance with personalised care plans
- Monitoring and recording health conditions and reporting any concerns to senior staff
- Providing companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assisting with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals
- Driving clients to appointments or social activities when required
- Maintaining accurate documentation of care provided using IT systems
- Communicating effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery
Requirements
- Previous experience in a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Valid driving licence and ability to drive is preferred for roles involving client transportation
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple care routines efficiently
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records and updating care plans
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a caring and empathetic approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including occasional weekends or evenings if necessary

Pay: Β£24,420.00-Β£31,726.68 per year
