Health Care Assistant

Duties

• Assisting clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
• Supporting clients in accordance with personalised care plans
• Monitoring and recording health conditions and reporting any concerns to senior staff
• Providing companionship and emotional support to clients
• Assisting with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals
• Driving clients to appointments or social activities when required
• Maintaining accurate documentation of care provided using IT systems
• Communicating effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery

Requirements

• Previous experience in a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
• Valid driving licence and ability to drive is preferred for roles involving client transportation
• Good organisational skills to manage multiple care routines efficiently
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
• Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records and updating care plans
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a caring and empathetic approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work shifts as required, including occasional weekends or evenings if necessary

Job Type: Freelance

Pay: £24,420.00-£31,726.68 per year

• Milton Keynes MK2 3LS: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
