Anna Maher Recruitment is working with a well-established UK engineering manufacturer based in the beautiful Peak District to recruit a Technical Account Manager (Sales Support) to join their team.
The Role
This role provides essential support to the Territory Managers and wider sales team, helping manage distributor relationships, prepare quotations, and ensure sales opportunities are tracked and progressed efficiently.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and issuing sales quotations for distributors and customers
- Managing quotation revisions and maintaining an accurate enquiry log
- Following up on quotations and providing updates to Territory Managers
- Acting as a day-to-day point of contact for distributors on sales support matters
- Proactively chasing project updates and feedback on active opportunities
- Supporting distributor review calls and maintaining accurate CRM records
- Tracking sales opportunities and highlighting stalled or at-risk enquiries
- Liaising with internal departments including Sales, Projects, Manufacturing and Finance
- Supporting the smooth transition of opportunities through to order processing
About You:
We’re looking for someone organised, proactive, and comfortable working in a technical or engineering-led environment. You’ll ideally have:
- Experience in sales support, account management, or B2B customer service
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple enquiries
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence using CRM systems and Microsoft Office
- A proactive and methodical approach to follow-up
Desirable:
- Exposure to industrial, technical, or engineered products
- Experience preparing quotations or supporting project-based sales
- Experience working with distributors, ideally including international partners
- Knowledge of ERP or CRM systems such as SAP
