Due to continued growth in shipment volumes, our client is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join their scientific distribution business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organised, motivated, and eager to develop their skills within a friendly, supportive and collaborative environment. Full training will be provided, but a willingness to learn, strong communication skills, and a positive attitude are essential. This is a newly created position working alongside the existing warehouse and packing team to help ensure accurate and timely deliveries to customers. The successful candidate will also support the customer service team and wider administration team where required. You will play an important role in maintaining efficient warehouse operations and ensuring customers receive orders promptly and accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out regular stock checks
- Report stock discrepancies accurately and promptly
- Unpack and store incoming deliveries
- Pack and dispatch customer purchase orders accurately
- Prepare courier paperwork and shipping manifests
- Ensure shipments are processed efficiently and on time
- Assist with purchasing materials required for warehouse and dispatch operations
- Monitor and log fridge and freezer temperatures
- Support wider administrative and customer service functions as required
