Our client is seeking to recruit a German and/or Dutch speaking Customer Service Advisor to join their small team, based in Cambridge City Centre. Candidates will be able to demonstrate previous experience within a customer service/administrative based role. You will have an excellent customer‑focussed manner and be a friendly and enthusiastic team player, with a flexible attitude to assist and provide support wherever needed. This is a part‑time role, working 20 hours a week. Your working pattern will be Monday‑Friday 9am‑1pm. All working hours are office based. PLEASE NOTE: Between 1st Apr and 1st Oct, every other week, one weekday shift will be replaced by a Saturday shift 15:00–19:00 (home‑based).
Key Duties
- Reply to customer enquiries, primarily via email, but also by phone when required
- Amend bookings and manage/address special requests
- Pro‑actively deal with any customer issues arising
- Addressing customer complaints, escalating where necessary
- Providing additional support to the team during quieter periods. This can include assisting with translation work
Key Skills and Experience
- Fluent German and/or Dutch speaker (both written and spoken)
- Demonstrable experience with Customer Service/Administrative based roles
- Previous experience within the Travel industry would be advantageous
- Self‑starter, motivated with a positive ‘can‑do’ attitude
- Well‑organised with the ability to prioritise workload
- Great customer‑focused manner, effective communicator
- Strong attention to detail
- Good problem‑solving skills
- Good IT skills with competency in MS Office
- Committed and hard‑working with a flexible approach
