We have a short-term temporary opportunity to work as a Marketing Coordinator to support and work closely with the Head of Marketing & Communications for a prestigious organisation based in central Cambridge. As Marketing Coordinator, this role ensures the events enhance the organisation’s international reach and stakeholder engagement. Responsibilities include marketing the events through email and digital channels, coordinating with internal teams, managing follow-up actions, and driving applicant conversion. The role-holder will also coordinate with colleagues across the business to align on strategy.
This is a full-time role working 36.5 hours a week, however, part-time hours would be considered for the right candidate.
Main Responsibilities
- Helping arrange catering and venue bookings for events
- Assisting with sharing information between the team and online to get events posted online
- Helping create posts for use on the departments socials (using Canva, editing footage)
- Help with budget tracker (entering costs into spreadsheet and reconciling vs. actuals)
- Arranging their SharePoint using the new information architecture they have devised
- Reaching out and responding to prospective students on LinkedIn (using pre-formatted replies)
Key Skills and Experience
- Experience in marketing communication and events role.
- Understanding and familiarity with social media and changing digital marketing landscape.
- Experience of working with people from other cultures.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Strong writing ability essential.
- High level of competence with Microsoft Office Suite i.e. Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams.
- High level of communication and interpersonal skills to maintain good and necessary relations with participants and alumni and to encourage their on-going involvement as advocates of the programme.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a small team.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to use Microsoft Dynamics (Customer Insights) would be a huge advantage. (Desirable)
- Excellent organisation skills.
- Ability to prioritise a wide variety of tasks.
- Ability to work with accuracy and to deadlines.
