Ankura is currently seeking an experienced analyst to join the Asset Tracing and Complex Investigations team in our London office. The role will involve detailed investigations into a variety of matters in support of our clients’ requirements. These typically include complex international asset-tracing exercises, commercial investigations, and support to ongoing legal proceedings. This is a great opportunity to take an important role within a growing team, with diverse and high-profile casework.
Responsibilities:- Participation in a range of investigative casework
- Taking a senior role within the team’s analyst group, to lead casework and help develop the wider team
- Reviewing, understanding, and summarising source and client documentation and records to develop an investigative plan
- Conducting research and identifying and collating information from a variety of sources, together with the review, analysis, and presentation of this information
- Competence in the utilisation of a wide variety of multi-jurisdictional information and databases
- Writing comprehensive, professional reports
- Assisting in the scoping of new casework and preparation of proposals
- Interacting directly with clients
- Identifying and managing subcontractors and various external resources
- Being actively involved in the practice’s business development initiatives.
- Experience in international commercial investigations
- Demonstrable expertise in asset tracing casework - experience of sovereign asset tracing would be of interest
- A track record of delivering high-quality briefing notes and reports
- An inquisitive mind-set, and the ability to think laterally about complex problems
- The ability to comfortably give feedback and provide guidance across the team
- Excellent analytical rigor
- Resilience and commitment under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to travel at short notice, if required
- Foreign languages are advantageous
