As an Analyst - Sourcing, you will be responsible for Bid Management Project Coordinating, researching, analyzing and assisting in the process of new business opportunities with the aim of extending our market share throughout the UK and Continental Europe. You will evaluate marketplace data of vendors, manufacturers and suppliers and provide business appropriate recommendations based on this analysis. You will manage a supply chain for goods or materials that ensure high material availability at the lowest possible total ownership cost to client operations. You will act as the primary contact to current and potential outside suppliers and manage the supply chain processes for a given commodity, including the development of inventory strategy, such that its effectiveness/efficiency is continually improved.
Responsibilities:
- Process enquiries and projects in line with Company and customer procedures.
- Negotiate contract elements, including terms and conditions, pricing, and lead-time.
- Analyse and extract data and product research.
- Manage suppliers’ performance, including support, development and monitoring of supplier performance metrics.
- Negotiate expected supplier performance metrics and develop and administer corrective action plans for performance failures.
- Prepare, distribute and award RFQ blankets and review expiring blankets for re-bid.
- Determine, load and update pricing and lead times in purchasing database.
- Drive suppliers to electronic and automated interface and analyse spend and product mix for standardization opportunities.
- Serve as customer contact and alliance manager for supply chain issues.
- Develop and maintain professional knowledge regarding the market drivers, market trends, economic forecasts, supplier base, and competitive intelligence.
- Analyse material demand and determine inventory strategy or alternative supply chain strategies for maintaining high material availability at the lowest total ownership costs.
- Communicate and coordinate supplier strategies with sales engineer.
- Ensure commodity and inventory strategies are aligned with key customer initiatives and metrics.
- Support the commercial as required.
Qualifications:
- Associates’ Degree (U.S.)/College Diploma (Canada) required; Bachelors Degree preferred.
- 2 years required, 4 years preferred of related work experience.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Effective skills in contract negotiation and implementation.
- Performance management and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated business acumen, customer awareness, and ability to create value.
- Experience with Purchasing and ERP systems (Citrix, MAPS, PassPort, E-max).
- Knowledge of supply chain management, customer service, and vendor management.
- Ability to manage conflict, build consensus, establish trust, communicate effectively, and foster cultural change.
