Are you a Senior veterinary surgeon seeking an exciting new opportunity in a dynamic and supportive environment? We are a thriving small animal hospital with a large and varied caseload, and we are currently seeking a talented veterinary surgeon to join our passionate team. This is a unique chance to step into a well-established practice with state-of-the-art facilities including a dedicated orthopaedic theatre, two fully equipped soft tissue theatres (both with laparoscopic equipment), a double dental suite, a dedicated imaging suite, visiting CT and separate wards for dogs, cats and exotic pets.
Our team is close-knit, supportive, and enthusiastic about sharing knowledge across multiple disciplines. You will be part of a team of 16 day vets & 3 night vets, including cert holders in Diagnostic Imaging, Cardiology, Medicine, Endoscopy & Endoscopy surgery. We also have 34 clinical, 18 reception and 5 admin staff as part of our wide team, so plenty of people to call on for support. Whether you are looking to refine your skills, explore new areas of interest, or simply be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team, you will find a welcoming home here.
Why Join Us?
- Supportive Culture: We are proud to be active members of EDI (Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion) groups and have multiple wellbeing first aiders on hand to ensure everyone feels supported.
- Professional Growth: Regular journal clubs, team-building activities (escape room anyone?), and social events keep us connected and inspired. We also love our local community and host regular client information evenings & open days for our local furry friends and their owners.
- Work-Life Balance: We value your wellbeing and are committed to creating a positive and fulfilling work environment.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a veterinary surgeon, with preferably prior line-management experience, who will be directly line-managing 2-3 colleagues. Fielding questions from our clients and reception team is vital for this position, as is organisational delegation to our other team members. Ideally we are looking for a full-time team member, but we can consider part-time too. Our full-time rota would be 4×10 hour days with a set day off each week. You would also be on our weekend rota (1:5 Saturday & Sunday). There are great surgical opportunities at this practice, so a surgical bias/interest will be catered for!
This is your chance to join a team that is passionate about delivering exceptional care while fostering a culture of collaboration and kindness. If you are ready to take the next step in your career and be part of a team that truly cares, we would love to hear from you!
