Day Support Worker Full Time Permanent £11.55 per hour in Kings Heath

Day Shifts: 7:30am-3pm, 2:30pm-10pm & 7:30am-10pm.

Essential: At least 12 months experience with Autism and Challenging Behaviour. This is a challenging service, and we are seeking candidates who have experience with behaviours that may be described as challenging.

About the service:

Swan is a residential service focusing on Learning Disability, Autism, and Challenging Behaviour. Service users are nonverbal and require full support with day-to-day living skills and promoting independence. We all work as a team to meet the needs of each individual based on a person-centred approach.

Support Worker duties:

  • Supporting residents to develop independence and life skills
  • Assisting people to achieve daily goals & daily activities such as arts, crafts, and hobbies
  • Assisting with the development of person-centred plans for our residents, including employment, education, and other opportunities
  • Maintaining records and drawing up risk assessments
  • Providing personal care where needed, always working towards more independence
  • Supporting people in undertaking daily activities or development
