The company provides secure digital records for microchipped animals, allowing owners, veterinary professionals, local authorities, and welfare organisations to access accurate identification information when it matters most. AniMap focuses on data accuracy, compliance, and ease of use, ensuring that pet details can be updated efficiently and retrieved without unnecessary delay. By centralising microchip information in a modern, user-friendly system, AniMap supports responsible pet ownership, strengthens traceability, and contributes to higher animal welfare standards across the United Kingdom.
Role Description
This is a full-time or part-time remote role for a Microchip Implanter. The Microchip Implanter will be responsible for sourcing their own litters or pets to safely implant microchips, maintaining accurate records of implanted microchips, and ensuring compliance with animal care and safety standards. The role also includes educating pet owners about the benefits of microchipping and providing professional customer service in all interactions. Collaboration with pet owners and other animal care professionals is an essential aspect of the day-to-day tasks. The microchip database has not yet been launched so you will be a part of the founding members of the company. You will receive special incentives and join a ‘Founders Club’.
Requirements
- Experience in animal care, pet handling, or veterinary assistance
- Understanding of microchipping procedures and safety protocols
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records
- Comfort with working remotely and independently
- Certification in pet microchipping is preferred or willing to pay to attain the qualification through AniMap
- A compassionate approach to caring for animals and handling sensitive data
