We’re looking for a Social Media Manager to cover a maternity leave, who blends creative storytelling with a data-driven mindset. You’ll lead the global social media presence for Company of Animals and its portfolio of pet brands — building awareness, engagement, and community across key markets.

You’ll create and curate social-first content, manage influencer and paid social campaigns, and help shape how our brands show up online. This is a hands‑on, fast‑paced, and highly creative role suited to a social native who thrives on testing ideas, learning from results, and scaling what works.

If you love animals, understand digital culture, and have a knack for turning insights into thumb‑stopping content — we’d love to meet you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a global social media strategy aligned with brand, campaign, and e‑commerce objectives.
  • Manage the content calendar to support new product launches, key brand moments, and community storytelling.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Brand, Digital, and Communications teams to ensure integration across all marketing activity.
  • Monitor trends, platform updates, and audience behaviour to keep our content fresh and relevant.

Content Creation & Production

  • Concept, film, and edit engaging short‑form and long‑form content for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
  • Maintain brand voice and visual identity across all channels.
  • Repurpose high‑performing content into new formats to extend reach and engagement.
  • Experiment with emerging formats, trends, and AI tools to improve reach and efficiency.
  • Partner with designers and product teams to highlight innovation and storytelling moments across the brand portfolio.

Community & Influencer Engagement

  • Manage daily posting, comments, DMs, and community interactions with a responsive, brand‑appropriate tone.
  • Build and nurture relationships with influencers, ambassadors, and pet advocates across markets.
  • Plan and deliver influencer campaigns, from seeding and gifting to paid collaborations and affiliate programmes.
  • Track influencer performance metrics and ROI, reporting key learnings and best practices.
  • Support live coverage for tradeshows and industry events.

Paid & Performance

  • Plan, execute, and optimise paid social campaigns across Meta, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Manage the social media budget, ensuring smart allocation and clear return on investment.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Manager to align paid and organic strategies for maximum impact.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Deliver monthly performance dashboards with insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Share learnings with the wider marketing and leadership teams to inform future campaigns.
  • Key experience managing social media for a consumer, lifestyle, or pet brand (agency or in‑house).
  • Proven success growing engaged communities and driving measurable results.
  • Strong creative production skills — concepting, filming, editing, and storytelling.
  • Skilled in short‑form content creation (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts).
  • Confident using social and creative tools (Canva, CapCut, Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, or similar).
  • Experience managing paid campaigns (Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads, YouTube).
  • Comfortable analysing performance data and turning insights into action.
  • Strong copywriting skills with an engaging, natural tone.
  • Organised, collaborative, and proactive — thrives in fast‑moving, creative environments.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages a plus.
  • A genuine love for animals and belief in training first, welfare without compromise, and trust earned — not assumed.

Success in this Role Looks Like

  • Steady growth in engagement, followers, and brand sentiment across channels.
  • A consistent flow of high‑performing social content and influencer collaborations.
  • Measurable contribution to brand awareness, web traffic, and sales.
  • Clear reporting and insights that guide creative and strategic decisions.
  • A vibrant, authentic online community that reflects the Company of Animals’ values.
