Educational Animal Presenter

Animal Workshops Mobile Zoo is looking for experienced children’s animal presenters to join our multi-award winning team.

If you love entertaining kids and have a passion for teaching people about animals then this is the job for you!

We are looking for a fun, energetic individual with an ability to crowd control small people.

Experience working with children is ESSENTIAL and an animal qualification preferred.

Duties will include:

1. Hosting fun, engaging, educational Animal Encounters at schools, private/public events, and parties (for all ages) whilst presenting a variety of amazing animals.
2. Showing an ability to handle a large selection of animals including mammals, reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates, and birds. You will be responsible for their care and well-being whilst out at presentations.
3. Driving our company vehicle from our base in Mayland, Essex to venues across the South East of England to provide fun and exciting public and private presentations with our animals.

MUST BE COMFORTABLE DRIVING A TRANSIT SIZED VAN.

Requirements:

1. YOU MUST HAVE A FULL CLEAN UK DRIVING LICENCE WHICH YOU HAVE HELD FOR A YEAR. (Must be 21+ years or over for vehicle insurance and be able to drive manual).
2. Have experience working with animals.
3. Experience entertaining children.
4. Have a friendly, approachable manner.
5. Be available to work at least one day at the weekend.
6. Due to our rural location and requirements of the job having your own transport is essential as there isn\’t regular public transport in the area.
7. Be prepared to travel around Essex and surrounding areas including Central London.
8. Enhanced DBS certificate required.
9. Please keep in mind that this is a very physical job with lots of lifting so a good fitness level is preferred.

This is a casual position with no set hours, please don\’t let this put you off! The more availability you have the more shifts can be offered.
