We are seeking a dedicated Night Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire. This position is suited for someone who thrives in the fast-paced environment of emergency critical care and has a passion for providing affordable veterinary care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive overnight care for inpatients, ensuring their comfort and monitoring their condition.
- Assist in theatre during emergency surgeries and perform necessary procedures.
- Triage incoming cases to prioritise urgent care.
- Utilise advanced equipment, including CT scanners, to support diagnostic processes.
- Maintain a high standard of care in separate dog and cat wards, including specialised ICU units for intensive nursing care.
Skills and Qualifications
- Registered Veterinary Nurse, qualified and currently registered with RCVS.
- Proven experience in emergency and critical care nursing.
- Strong ability to work autonomously and make critical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and compassionate client interactions.
- Demonstrated ability to handle a varied and challenging caseload, including medical and surgical emergencies.

- A competitive salary up to £31,100, depending on experience.
- An average of 31.1 hrs a week worked with a rota pattern of 7:14 providing good work-life balance.
- Hours are 18:30 - 7:30hrs with your working week being Monday - Sunday.
