We are looking for an experienced and passionate Veterinary Surgeon to help deliver exceptional care at our 24/7 hospital in Bolton. Bolton is our busiest site, providing both first-opinion and referral care to a diverse and challenging caseload.

Working at Bolton means collaborating alongside certificate holders and advanced practitioners across both surgery and medicine, offering excellent opportunities for learning, development, and case discussion. Bolton Hospital is a well-equipped facility featuring:

  • 8 consulting rooms
  • 3 theatres
  • Dedicated X-ray and dental suite
  • On-site CT scanner

The hospital has separate dog and cat wards, as well as a specialised ICU ward providing intensive nursing care. Our varied caseload includes both medical and surgical cases, with weekly orthopaedic procedures performed on site.

At Animal Trust, you will join a supportive and inclusive culture that genuinely values every individual's contribution. We operate without hierarchy, encouraging a collaborative environment where every team member plays an active role in delivering outstanding clinical care and upholding our shared commitment to excellence.

Animal Trust stands out from other veterinary services. Firstly, we are a unique Community Interest Company, being the only veterinary CIC in the UK to date. Our primary focus isn’t solely on maximising profits; instead, we are dedicated to delivering on our mission and ensuring enough profit to sustain our business in the long term.

Our vision is clear: No pet should go untreated or face euthanasia when there is a viable treatment option. We firmly believe that pet ownership should be accessible to all, acknowledging that individuals earning the Real Living Wage may encounter challenges in affording veterinary care when their pet falls ill. In response, we aim to assist. Our free consultations and transparent pricing enable our vets and nurses to break down the barriers that stand in the way of pets receiving the treatment they need.
