About the Role
As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in ensuring our veterinary clinic remains a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff, clients, and their beloved pets. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning both staff and clinical areas, such as consulting rooms, waiting room and communal spaces to a high standard.
- Handling clinical waste in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Adhering to COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) guidelines.
- Ensuring hygiene and cleanliness are maintained in line with hospital protocols.
- Accountability for performing weekly health and safety checks and reporting as required.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience in cleaning or housekeeping (preferably in a medical or clinical setting, but not essential).
- Is knowledgeable about or willing to learn COSHH and clinical waste handling.
- Is willing to take on responsibility for regular health and safety checks such as fire alarm and legionella testing and reporting.
- Is dependable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in their work.
- Can work independently and manage time effectively.
