Are you a qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) seeking an exciting opportunity beyond the traditional clinical setting? We have the ideal role for you! We are looking for a Triage Nurse to support our Client Services team in our new Hospital Teesside. In this vital position, you will ensure the smooth operation of our front-of-house services, maximising diary efficiency and triaging patients upon arrival.

This is a pivotal role that will not only utilise your clinical triaging ability but also your eye for detail and organisational skills. You will have line management responsibilities of our client services team. This role is ideal for an advanced nurse (2 years qualified or more) wishing to move away from clinical work and has a passion for client care and management.

Our new hospital is set to open in January 2026 and will feature 9 spacious consulting rooms, 3 fully equipped operating theatres, a diagnostic suite, digital X-ray, a dedicated dental suite, and an isolation unit. We also provide separate cat and dog wards for low-stress patient care, along with a central prep area to support efficient clinical workflow. Designed to deliver first opinion, referral, and out-of-hours care, our facility brings high-quality veterinary services to pets in the surrounding community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Triage Support : Assess and prioritise incoming patients to ensure timely and appropriate care by the correct team.
  • Front Desk Coordination : Collaborate closely with the Reception team to streamline all aspects of client services
  • Line management responsibilities : Responsibility of direct line management of the reception team. You will provide support, and training to your team carrying out regular 1-2-1\’s
  • Diary Management : Ensure appointment diaries are booked out efficiently under the correct workstreams to maximise throughput of clients and pets.
  • Communication : Act as a liaison for externa/internal referrals coming into the clinic
  • Call handling : Answering incoming calls from pet owners.
  • Pharmacy assistant : Assisting with repeat prescription enquires as required
  • Administrative Tasks : Handle non-clinical administrative duties related to patient care and case management, including assisting with insurance claims and queries, Debt management.

Job Specifics

40 hour week worked across 5 days (Monday Friday)

Hours of work between 08:00 -17:00hrs

Salary: Up to Β£29,000
