Overview

Do you have a passion for Emergency and Critical Care but enjoy working days? Look no further we are looking for an A+E/inpatient vet to join our new hospital set to open in Teesside in January 2026.

In this exciting role, you will oversee the inpatient care and emergency cases coming through our A+E service, ensuring a exciting mix of medically bias cases. Your primary responsibility will be to meet the needs of our inpatients, whether performing emergency procedures yourself or coordinating with our skilled team to provide comprehensive care. There will be a small amount of GP work included in this rota, allowing the right candidate to remain familiar with consults and elective surgery.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee inpatient care and emergency cases within the A+E service.
  • Perform emergency procedures as needed or coordinate with the team to provide comprehensive care.
  • Coordinate with clinicians on a rota that includes a small amount of GP work to maintain familiarity with consults and elective surgery.

Rota

  • 40 hours a week – we accept Part Time applicants
  • Rota: 12hr days (including 1 hour unpaid lunch)
  • Weekends 1:3 weekends (not sole charge)
