We are seeking an experienced vet with a passion for both people and pets. Birkenhead is in search of a Veterinary Surgeon to lead our team of vets, ensuring that high standards of clinical care are met through coaching and mentoring. You will be jointly responsible for embedding the Animal Trust Values, fostering a caring and nurturing working environment. Working closely with our Practice Manager and Lead Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of the clinic. Your responsibilities will extend to evaluating clinic KPIs and P&L, ensuring optimal performance and the continued success of the hospital.

About You
- Clinical Expertise: Possess a strong clinical skillset with a passion for coaching and mentoring.
- Communication Skills: Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, both with clients and the veterinary team.
- VetGDP Qualification: Hold or be eager to obtain a VetGDP qualification.
- Business Acumen: While preferred, it’s not essential. We welcome individuals interested in assessing business KPIs and P&L.
- Management Experience: Have experience in performing 1-2-1 meetings and conducting performance management.
- Confident Leadership: Be confident in leading staff meetings and clinical governance meetings.
Rota
38hrs/week, 4 day week, 2:9 Saturdays, Working 10hr days (with 1 hr unpaid lunch) between the hours of 8am and 7pm.
