Role Overview: Resourcing & Deployment Officer for the Workforce Surge and Deployment Team (WSDT) and the Candidate Experience Team (CET). Provide full‑time support during high‑demand periods and 40/60% support during quieter times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in delivering a full end‑to‑end onboarding process for temporary resources, working closely with operational delivery teams, external stakeholders and recruitment specialists.
  • Help develop a single front‑door approach to outbreak resourcing, ensuring equitable service across all business units while streamlining processes.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment with APHA’s priorities.
  • Support deployment of internal resources, working with Operational Delivery teams to place the right skills at the right times.
  • Assess current workforce gaps and identify key skills, capabilities and competencies to forecast future needs and prioritise recruitment.
  • Perform administrative activities according to team procedures and timelines.
  • Ensure smooth delivery of processes within your area of responsibility.
  • Provide guidance and support to stakeholders on operational/service delivery issues.
  • Attend and contribute to Teams meetings and calls.
  • Collate and report outbreak management information for tracking resource deployment, collaborating with Agency Data & Information Unit and Contingency Planning Division.
  • Follow processes and standards for accurate data tracking and reporting, providing Workforce Surge Advisor with risk, issue or opportunity highlights.

Candidate Experience Team Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with Vacancy Holders to create job adverts using the Civil Service Jobs system.
  • Arrange sift documentation and support fair and transparent sifting.
  • Set up interview panels and support Vacancy Holders in preparing assessment criteria.
  • Communicate with candidates to resolve queries throughout application and interview phases.
  • Maintain team processes and continually improve efficiency and effectiveness.
