We are seeking a highly capable Hospital Operations Manager to join our Cannington hospital in Perth, playing a pivotal role in the performance of a fast-paced, 24/7 emergency hospital. You will create and support the operational conditions that enable exceptional emergency care, ensuring people, systems and resources work seamlessly so clinicians can focus on delivery of exceptional care. This is a critical operational leadership position at one of Western Australia’s leading emergency veterinary hospitals. You will have autonomy to make a daily impact, influence leadership decision-making, and drive outcomes that directly improve patient care, team experience, and overall performance.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead day-to-day hospital operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and consistency.
- Proactively identify and resolve operational inefficiencies.
- Oversee workforce capacity, including roster alignment, sustainability and operational coverage.
- Ensure facilities, systems, and equipment are compliant and fit-for-purpose.
- Drive WHS, compliance, and risk management to best practice.
- Lead and deliver continuous improvement initiatives and operational projects.
- Monitor resource utilisation and expenditure to ensure sustainable hospital performance.
- Support and coach leaders to strengthen execution and accountability.
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in operations leadership within fast-paced, complex environments (essential).
- Demonstrated success in delivering outcomes in high-pressure, dynamic operational settings.
- Excellent organisational capability and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- High emotional intelligence with the ability to influence across cross-functional teams.
- Experience operating within a 24/7 environment (highly regarded).
- Background in healthcare, veterinary, aviation, mining or similar 24/7 service-based environments (highly regarded).
