At Linnaeus, we are driven by a simple but powerful vision: A BETTER WORLD FOR PETS. As part of the Mars Veterinary Health family, we are committed to delivering excellence in clinical care, supporting our people, and shaping the future of veterinary medicine. We are now seeking a new Area Medical Projects Manager to join our team. This is a pivotal role that empowers our practices to deliver outstanding care, every day. This is your opportunity to make a meaningful, measurable impact across our network, championing patient safety, elevating clinical standards, and developing the next generation of veterinary leaders.
The Medical Projects Manager plays a critical role in delivering high-impact medical initiatives across Linnaeus to improve patient outcomes while delivering meaningful commercial impact. One of the initial focus areas will be Oral Health. The role drives the successful delivery of cross-functional medical projects from concept through implementation, embedding and evaluation. Operating at the intersection of central strategy and local execution, the Medical Projects Manager works closely with the Operating Unit Medical Director, country Area Medical Partner (AMP) team and central Medical and Operations stakeholders to ensure initiatives are delivered at pace, at scale and with consistency. The role reports to the MVH Europe Director Medical Operations and sits within the Medical Function.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Delivery
- Lead the planning and end-to-end delivery of cross-functional medical projects, with a strong focus on dental programmes.
- Define project scope, objectives, timelines and resourcing requirements.
- Translate strategic medical priorities into clear, executable plans that can be embedded in clinical practice.
- Ensure milestones and outcomes align with clinical best practice, operational feasibility and commercial priorities.
- Work closely with central Medical and Operations stakeholders to sequence and integrate delivery across the organisation, avoiding duplication and ensuring clarity for clinics.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
- Partner closely with the OU Medical Director and country Area Medical Partner (AMP) team to support execution of priority medical programmes, including Oral Health.
- Engage and coordinate clinical subject matter experts, operational leaders and central teams to enable consistent delivery.
- Facilitate collaboration between central and local stakeholders, ensuring initiatives are well understood and practically implementable in clinics.
- Provide hands-on support to AMP team where capacity constraints exist, particularly in UK & Ireland.
- Clinical Content & Capability Enablement
- Develop, review and quality-check medical content including clinical guidance, educational materials and implementation tools.
- Ensure Oral Health-related content is evidence-based, clinically robust and aligned with Clinical Quality standards and governance frameworks.
- Support behaviour change by translating medical knowledge into clear, actionable guidance for clinical teams.
- Performance Tracking & Impact Evaluation
- Define success metrics covering clinical outcomes, operational adoption and commercial impact, particularly for Oral Health initiatives.
- Track progress against targets (e.g. adoption, compliance, revenue contribution) and report on impact.
- Use data and feedback to continuously refine delivery approaches and improve programme effectiveness.
- Governance & Reporting
- Monitor performance against project goals, timelines and quality standards.
- Provide regular updates to the OU Medical Director, Director Medical Operations and relevant governance forums.
- Escalate risks and capacity constraints proactively, particularly where delivery pace or consistency is at risk.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of medical project implementation frameworks across MVH Europe.
This is a cross-functional, delivery-focused role operating across the full lifecycle of medical projects—from early scoping and planning through to implementation, embedding and evaluation. Each Medical Projects Manager is embedded within an Operating Unit and works in close partnership with the OU Medical Director. The role does not include direct line management but relies on strong influence, collaboration and execution capability, including sustained coaching, alignment and follow-through at clinic level. Success in this role directly supports FY26 Medical Operations commitments and long-term clinical capability building across Linnaeus and MVH Europe.
Education & Professional Qualifications
- Veterinary Surgeon (preferably RCVS registered) or RVN
- Project management training or certification is a plus.
