Hospital Procurement Support Specialist

Location: Hybrid – Solihull (3 days in office, 2 days at home) or Madrid (3 days in office, 2 days at home).

Overview

Supports veterinary hospitals and clinics across Europe by ensuring they have the products, equipment and procurement support needed to deliver exceptional patient care.

Acts as the trusted link between hospitals and the Commercial Procurement team, building strong relationships and delivering outstanding customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance and Operations to solve complex challenges and continuously improve procurement support services.
  • Drive process improvements, develop training resources, and enhance self‑service tools to shape the future of hospital support.
  • Manage and resolve enquiries, improve processes, and deliver exceptional service to veterinary hospitals.
  • Collaborate across internal teams and external suppliers to ensure timely and efficient access to products and services.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in customer or client support, ideally within veterinary, healthcare or procurement environments.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a veterinary hospital, pharmacy or clinic buying role.
  • SVL or Veterinary Technician background a plus for those seeking a career transition.
  • Broad knowledge of surgical instruments, medical equipment and pharmaceutical products (generic and trade names).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly and build strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, proactive and solutions‑focused with high attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced with multiple systems such as Service Now or similar case‑management platforms.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of customer service.

Desirable

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Qualified or certified Veterinary Nurse/Technician.
  • Experience troubleshooting medical equipment or supporting clinical teams.
  • Experience with procurement systems, supplier management or service‑management platforms.
  • Fluency in one or more additional European languages.
