The Company

The Role

This special role will see you working as part of a team ensuring that the communal areas of the Retirement Village are kept hygienically clean and maintained to a high standard at all times. You will be part of a happy, welcoming team all of whom contribute to the positive and friendly atmosphere of our Village, ensuring our communal areas including corridors and stairwells of our apartment buildings, our 5 guest suites, reception area, meeting rooms, toilets and our pool and health suite are all thoroughly clean. The role will also include some weekly laundering.

Requirements

• We are looking for someone with some experience of working as a cleaner or Housekeeper; however, full training will be given if we think you demonstrate the right qualities at interview.
• An understanding of Health & Safety, Infection Control and COSHH would be an advantage.
• All posts are subject to a clear enhanced criminal record check and satisfactory references.
• Although it is no longer a legal requirement for staff working within CQC regulated Care Homes for Older Adult Care in England to be fully COVID-19 vaccinated, in the best interests of our staff and residents, we have decided to keep it a mandatory requirement to work for our organisation. Therefore, we will need proof of your COVID Vaccination pass.
• You must have current valid right to work in the UK. This role does not meet the requirements of Sponsorship.

The Person

You should be able and willing to follow instructions and detailed guidelines and demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills towards residents, colleagues and visitors. It is essential that you can work within a team and also work unsupervised across our different buildings. If you can show thoroughness and attention to detail that would be an advantage. If you have a basic understanding of using cleaning chemicals and handling and dealing with infection control situations within a challenging environment we would also welcome your application.
