The Role
As a Hospitality and Kitchen Assistant, you will generally assist with the day-to-day operations of the catering function within St George’s Park, including our Retirement Village, Care Homes and Assisted Living Facility.
This opportunity offers the perfect combination of front-of-house service by welcoming and assisting our residents and their visitors as well as hands-on support in our kitchen team too.

The role is working 40 hours per week, over 4 days on a 4-week rolling roster which will include alternate weekends.
Plus, there will be the opportunity of overtime to cover annual leave and sickness if this is of interest.
Whilst this is a multi-site position, all working locations are on one site covering different kitchens and dining areas.
Requirements
- The successful candidate will hold, or be working towards, City and Guilds 706 1 2 qualificationsorequivalent, relevant qualifications, and current Food Hygiene Certificate Level 3.
- The successful candidate will also have at least 2 years’ experience in catering, or a similar role, and be able to work well under pressure.
- All posts are subject to a clear enhanced criminal record check and satisfactory references.
- Although it is no longer a legal requirement for staff working within CQC regulated Care Homes for Older Adult Care in England to be fully COVID-19 vaccinated, in the best interests of our staff and residents, we have decided to keep it a mandatory requirement to work for our organisation.
Therefore, we will need proof of your COVID Vaccination pass.
- You must have current valid right to work in the UK. This role does not meet the requirements of Sponsorship.

- A passion for catering and ability to display a positive and flexible aptitude to team working.
- Good interpersonal and presentation skills, as well as good customer service skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a clean and tidy manner.
