The Role
As a Domiciliary Care Worker, you will play an important role in supporting residents living independently within our Retirement Village and Assisted Living Development, helping them to maintain a high standard of living and achieve an improved quality of life, independence, and integration. You will provide a range of both domestic and personal care assistance to our residents, supporting our residents to maintain cleanliness of their home to a high standard, as well as delivering personal care appropriate to each resident whilst ensuring dignity, privacy, and choice, always. This is a rewarding role ideal for someone who is reliable, compassionate, and takes pride in delivering high-quality care support, while working collaboratively as part of a dedicated team.
Working hours
35 hours per week. Shifts are rostered and include alternate weekend working.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have at least 1 year’s previous experience working within a similar role. The ideal candidate will hold an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care however this is not essential, and we pride ourselves on extensive training programmes to ensure all staff have the ability to meet the requirements of the job, including on-the-job qualification training. You will need to be caring by nature and have a commitment to caring and understanding the needs of the client group. You will also need to have strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work in a confidential manner at all times. All posts are subject to a clear enhanced criminal record check and satisfactory references.
Although it is no longer a legal requirement for staff working within CQC regulated Care Homes for Older Adult Care in England to be fully COVID-19 vaccinated, in the best interests of our staff and residents, we have decided to keep it a mandatory requirement to work for our organisation. Therefore, we will need proof of your COVID Vaccination pass. This role does not meet the requirements of Sponsorship. You must have current valid right to work in the UK.
