We are a Care Home, Assisted Living, and Retirement Village complex located on Ditchling Common, within 3 miles of both Burgess Hill and Haywards Heath. The Role

Our Domiciliary Care Workers assist and enable the residents living within St George’s Park Retirement Village, and our Assisted Living Development, in their endeavours to achieve quality of life, integration and independence. The Domiciliary Care Worker provides a range of both domestic and personal care assistance to our residents, supporting them to maintain cleanliness of their home to a high standard, as well as delivering personal care appropriate to each resident whilst ensuring dignity, privacy, and choice, always. You will be part of a happy, welcoming team all of whom contribute to the positive and friendly atmosphere within our Retirement Community.

Working hours: 35 hours per week. Shifts are rostered and include alternate weekend working - the successful candidate must have the flexibility to work any day of the week.

Requirements

  • The successful candidate will have at least 1 year’s previous experience working within a similar role.
  • The ideal candidate will hold an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care; however, this is not essential, and we pride ourselves on extensive training programmes to ensure all staff have the ability to meet the requirements of the job, including on-the-job qualification training.
  • You will need to be caring by nature and have a commitment to understanding the needs of the client group.
  • You will also need to have strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work in a confidential manner at all times.

All posts are subject to a clear enhanced criminal record check and satisfactory references. Although it is no longer a legal requirement for staff working within CQC regulated Care Homes for Older Adult Care in England to be fully COVID-19 vaccinated, in the best interests of our staff and residents, we have decided to keep it a mandatory requirement to work for our organisation. Therefore, we will need proof of your COVID Vaccination pass. You must have current valid right to work in the UK. This role does not meet the requirements of Sponsorship.
