The Role


Our Activities Coordinators are responsible for creating, organising, and providing activities, support, and assistance to the residents of our care homes. The team implement our Homes’ philosophy and ethos, forming a positive relationship with our residents through meaningful activities and creating a homely environment.


You will be spending time with our residents to talk, listen, and socialise through activities and enable our residents to maintain or re-learn daily living skills as appropriate. You may also be required to organise and encourage our residents to enjoy day trips and daily walks where possible.


At times, you will be working within regulated activity assisting our residents with personal care, as well as assisting at mealtimes.


Requirements


We are looking for someone who has at least 1 year’s experience of working within a Care Home. It would be preferable if you had experience organising and providing activities to residents within a Care Home setting, however we would also welcome your application if you had experience as a Care Assistant too.


The successful applicant will be fun, compassionate, and caring by nature, with the ability to work well within a team.


All posts are subject to a clear enhanced criminal record check and satisfactory references.


Although it is no longer a legal requirement for staff working within CQC regulated Care Homes for Older Adult Care in England to be fully COVID-19 vaccinated, in the best interests of our staff and residents, we have decided to keep it a mandatory requirement to work for our organisation. Therefore, we will need proof of your COVID Vaccination pass.


You must have current valid right to work in the UK.
