The Role
As a Bank Minibus Driver, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of all passengers. You will drive pre-planned routes, transport staff, support resident outings, and keep our vehicles clean, roadworthy, and compliant with regulations. This is a varied, hands-on role that requires professionalism, excellent customer service, and a strong commitment to safety.
Our team of Drivers provide staff collections and returns as per the posted Burgess Hill and Haywards Heath minibus timetables, ensuring that all stops and advertised times are adhered to. When driving on resident’s outings, you will be required to assist our Care staff with moving and escorting residents during the visit including operating our vehicle lifts and ramps. Our drivers are required to complete basic maintenance as soon as required such as refuelling the company vehicles, replacing wiper blades and light bulbs, changing of tyres and refilling oil, water and screen wash as required.

- Monday to Friday - 05:45 - 15:00
- Monday to Friday - 19:00 - 22:00
- Saturday and Sunday - 05:45 - 09:00
- Saturday and Sunday - 13:00 - 15:00
- Saturday and Sunday - 19:00 - 22:00
Requirements
- All Drivers must hold and keep a full current D1 unrestricted driving licence obtained prior to 01/01/1997 or a PCV licence with the ability to drive a 17-seater minibus.
- Strong focus on safety, customer care, and professionalism.
- Ability to carry out basic vehicle checks and maintenance.
- Good communication skills and a positive, responsible approach to work.
- Drivers must comply with all Health and Safety and relevant current legislation/regulation and ensure that all work undertaken is carried out safely.
- All posts are subject to a clear enhanced criminal record check and satisfactory references.
- Although it is no longer a legal requirement for staff working within CQC regulated Care Homes for Older Adult Care in England to be fully COVID-19 vaccinated, in the best interests of our staff and residents, we have decided to keep it a mandatory requirement to work for our organisation. Therefore, we will need proof of your COVID Vaccination pass.
