Salary: The Annual Salary range will be £58,000 - £62,000 subject to experience and qualifications. An additional IMT allowance of £4,000 per annum will be paid.
Flexible hours: Angus Energy support flexible working time, within reason, and subject to the demands of a 24/7 operation.
Bonuses: An annual performance related bonus is available (typically 10% per annum).
Generous paid holiday allowance: A paid holiday allowance of 20 days plus 8 bank-holiday days is available.
Generous pension: A defined contribution pension scheme is provided.
ROLE OVERVIEW: Angus Energy are recruiting for an Electrical Technician Duty Manager at our Saltfleetby site. The position will be 5 days per week, usually 8 hours per day Monday to Friday. Some overtime and weekend working will be necessary during scheduled plant shutdowns and unscheduled outages to return the plant to gas export production. The ideal candidate will be an indentured Technician with extensive experience in Petrochemical / Oil and Gas field, and experience of Gas processing plants would be an advantage. All equipment is ATEX and will require monthly, six monthly and Annual Inspections which require a Comp-Ex qualification. As a Duty Manager, you will be on call during the night and weekends on a 4-week rota for one week, you will be expected to respond to all operational issues and unplanned events.

Key Responsibilities:
- Hazardous Area Inspections: Conduct Inspections to BS EN 60079-17 standards for potentially explosive atmospheres.
- Installation & Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment, such as motors and control systems, in EX-rated zones.
- Testing & Fault Finding: Diagnose and rectify electrical faults while following strict safety procedures, often in compliance with BS7671 18th Edition.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, detailed inspection records and technical reports, using specialized asset management software.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to DSEAR (Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations) and company health and safety standards.

Duty Manager Role: As a Duty Manager, you will be on call during the night and weekends on a 4-week rota for one week and you will be expected to respond to all operational issues and unplanned events when on rota.
Education and Experience:
- Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Comp-Ex Certification: Valid Comp-Ex EX01-EX04 (fundamental requirement for gas/vapour environments).
- Experience: Proven industrial electrical experience, particularly in hazardous areas or petrochemical environments.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of BS EN 60079-14/17 and electrical schematics.
- Documentation Skills: Ability to produce accurate, legible reports.
- Certification: BS7671 18th Edition
Work Environment:
- Demanding, high-safety environments (Gas and Oil fields)
- Working as a member of the site maintenance team
- Interaction with members of the site operations team

Essential Skills:
- Cost management capabilities with experience of working within defined budgets
- Coordinating 3rd party vendors in the design and execution of equipment modifications
- Experience with maintenance management systems
- Experience in the creation of preventative maintenance routines for electrical equipment
