You will have the opportunity to benefit from our flexible and agile working practices. This means you will work from home for part of your week and spend some time in council buildings to best suit your work, meetings and collaboration.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Team Leader within our Information Governance Team, which is a key role within the Legal, Governance and Change Directorate.

The job is offered on a full-time, permanent basis.

We are looking for applicants with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, the desire and ability to work collectively and become a key team member. The workload will be varied, challenging and interesting. You will be supported in a collegiate environment and encouraged to develop a full range of legal and other skills to advance your career with us.

You will have substantial knowledge of relevant legislation including UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002, Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004, the Re-use of Public Sector Information Regulations and the Public Records (Scotland) Act 2011.

You will be able to motivate and inspire the members of the Information Governance team. You will provide direction for the team and give a sense of purpose, whilst creating an environment in which people can do their best work.

In addition, you will establish systems to gather and analyse information to ensure the work of the team remains focused and customer orientated. All the while supporting the development of efficient work practices and the implementation of digital service delivery wherever possible, ensuring the cost-effective use of resources.
