Based at Angus House, Orchardbank Business Park, Forfar. This job is workstyle 5 - Flexi. You will have the opportunity to benefit from our flexible and agile working practices. This means you will work from home for part of your week and spend some time in council buildings to best suit your work, meetings and collaboration.

Look no further! We are currently seeking a dynamic Service Leader to join our local authority Finance team. As the Service Leader in Finance, you will be the Deputy Director of Finance responsible for overseeing the financial management operations of the organisation, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing financial guidance and support to senior management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Budget planning and monitoring
  • Financial reporting
  • Treasury management
  • Supporting Council Committees

The successful candidate will have experience of leading professional financial support services in complex organisational environments, supporting successful organisational and cultural change, and leading a team of finance staff at a senior level.

Working for the Council is challenging but rewarding and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to be involved in a diverse range of activities and projects, driving the service forward at a time of significant change and digital innovation.
