Based at Angus House, Orchardbank Business Park, Forfar. This job is workstyle 5 - Hybrid. You will have the opportunity to benefit from our flexible and agile working practices. This means you will work from home for part of your week and spend some time in council buildings to best suit your work, meetings and collaboration.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Team Leader to lead our Property Team, which is a key role within the Legal & Democratic Directorate. The Post is offered on a full-time permanent basis.

We are looking for applicants with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, the desire and ability to work collectively and become a key team member. The workload will be varied, challenging and interesting. You will be supported in a collegiate environment and encouraged to develop a full range of legal and other skills to advance your career with us.

You will have post-qualified and recent experience of property law and be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of a wide range of commercial law matters. You will undertake and oversee the provision of advisory work to senior management, ideally with a wide range of experience of major projects, commercial contracts, procurement and public law.

You will be able to motivate and inspire the members of your team and will provide direction and give a sense of purpose, whilst creating an environment in which people can do their best work. In addition, you will establish systems to gather and analyse information to ensure the work of the team remains focused and customer orientated, supporting the development of efficient work practices and the implementation of digital service delivery wherever possible, ensuring the cost-effective use of resources.
