This job is workstyle 5 - Hybrid+
You will have the opportunity to benefit from our flexible and agile working practices.
This means you will work from home for part of your week and spend some time in council buildings to best suit your work, meetings and collaboration.

Angus Council is seeking a motivated and compassionate Employability Key Worker to join our established Skills and Employability team.
This role will focus primarily on supporting parents who face challenges in accessing training, education and employment opportunities.
Working across Angus communities, you will provide intensive, person-centred support to help parents identify their strengths, build confidence, overcome barriers and progress towards sustainable employment, training or further learning opportunities.
The role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives while contributing to Angus Council's commitment to inclusive economic growth and community wellbeing.
Based on the job outline and person specification, the postholder will deliver employability programmes, develop individual learning plans, coordinate support pathways and work closely with employers and partner organisations to achieve positive outcomes.
- What You'll Be Doing
- Providing one-to-one employability support to parents and other priority groups.
- Developing personalised action plans and carrying out initial and ongoing assessments.
- Supporting individuals to overcome barriers relating to confidence, skills, childcare, health and wellbeing, and progression into work.
- Delivering employability, personal development and vocational learning activities.
- Working collaboratively with employers, training providers and partner agencies.
- Identifying and securing work placements, training opportunities and positive destinations.
- Monitoring progress and maintaining accurate records in line with Scottish Government employability requirements.
- Contributing to the development and promotion of the Angus Employability Service.
