As Head Teacher of Carnoustie High School, you will provide strategic leadership to promote high-quality learning and teaching and secure improved outcomes for all young people. Working with colleagues across Angus, you will lead curriculum development, drive continuous improvement and ensure effective quality assurance across the school.
You will set a clear direction for staff, fostering a culture of high expectations, professional learning and reflective practice. You will offer professional advice, support and challenge, and contribute to improvement across the wider council area. You will work in partnership with parents, the Parent Council, other professionals and agencies to strengthen outcomes for learners.
Through visible, values-driven leadership, you will inspire and motivate others, champion positive change and ensure Carnoustie High School continues to thrive.

If you are applying for your first permanent head teacher post it is a condition that you attain the Standard for Headship within a period not exceeding 30 months and until such time as you complete the qualification you will be appointed on a temporary basis.
