Job Description Based at Bruce House, Wellgate, Arbroath. This job is workstyle 4 - Hybrid You will have the opportunity to benefit from our flexible and agile working practices. This means you will work from a variety of locations, working from council buildings, working in service user’s locations and site visits and you can work from home to best suit your work, meetings and collaboration. This post is for a Trading Standards Authorised Officer. The post will involve a commitment to register on the Chartered Institute of Trading Standards Qualification Framework and complete Stage 1 of their training to gain the Trading Standards Practitioner Certificate. This role involves all aspects of Trading Standards duties including consumer advice, business compliance and scam prevention. An enthusiastic and flexible approach is essential to deal with a wide and varying workload. Placing within the grade will be in accordance with the professional career grade structure. Please note interviews will be held Tuesday, 6 October 2026. Requirements You must have the ability to become a member of the PVG Scheme.
