As a Senior PV&T Underwriter, you will play a crucial role in assessing and underwriting risks within the PV&T industry. Leveraging your expertise, you will contribute to the development of customized insurance programs, ensuring that your clients receive comprehensive coverage tailored to their unique needs.
What will you be doing?
- Evaluate and underwrite political violence and terrorism risks.
- Collaborate closely with brokers, clients, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and assess risk profiles.
- Analyze market trends, emerging risks, and regulatory changes to stay informed and adapt underwriting strategies accordingly.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients, providing expert guidance on risk mitigation and insurance solutions.
- Collaborate with the wider underwriting team to establish and maintain underwriting standards, guidelines, and pricing structures.
- Participate in the development of new insurance products or enhancements to existing products, keeping abreast of industry advancements.
- Contribute to the effective management of the underwriting portfolio, including monitoring and analyzing performance metrics.
What do you need to apply to this role?
- 6 years+ experience as an underwriter, specifically with a focus on PV&T insurance.
- In-depth knowledge of Political Violence-related risks, insurance products, and market dynamics.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to assess complex risks and determine appropriate coverage.
