We are working with an exciting up and coming specialist insurance broker which is undergoing a phase of rapid growth. They specialise in providing insurance in Mergers & Acquisitions. They work with lawyers, private equity houses and other big financial service providers, largely in the UK at the moment with ambition to grow across Europe. They are seeking a Corporate/M&A Lawyer to join the team as a Broker to assist with their growth.Responsibilities Responsibilities include:Deal management – Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously. Each broker in the team will manage general queries, reporting to clients, running transactions and supervising follow up. It is varied.Deal advisory – Clients value our advice. This is the antithesis of bought on a platform type insurance. People buy specialist insurance and want it off their desk and to be kept advised on the process.Supervision of Support Team – You will be working with more junior people. You need to have the ability to supervise juniors and to be open to being supervised by the Founders.Business development – The keyway they develop business is to do a good job. On each deal there are multiple opportunities to develop new relationships. Over time as part of your role you will be expected to build your network and keep in touch with clients.There is no expectation of cold calling or doing BD from scratch. Business will be provided to you – they expect you to nurture those relationships and use these to develop new ones. Given remote work we would hope that each broker will be part of their local deal community.About you About you:Corporate/Real Estate/M&A Lawyer with a minimum of 3 years of experience.The role is remote, but the successful candidate must be near a major financial centre in the UK outside London (Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, etc)They will have experience leading parts of deals (if not leading on the whole transaction) with Partner supervision.Commercial acumen and excellent interpersonal and communication skillsIf you would like more information on this role, or any other roles we are recruiting for right now, please get in touch with: alex.alman@angovepartners.com
