A leading insurance firm is seeking a Compliance Business Partner to join its UK compliance function in London. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to work closely with the business, providing expert regulatory guidance and strategic oversight. You will play a critical role in shaping the firm’s compliance practices and ensuring ongoing alignment with regulatory requirements in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders on compliance and regulatory matters
- Provide updates on regulatory developments, risks, and actions at business and governance meetings
- Support the development and implementation of effective compliance policies and procedures
- Offer guidance on compliance risks tied to new products, business models, or processes
- Help the business understand and respond to changes in regulation
- Promote open communication between Compliance and the business
- Collaborate across the compliance team, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues
About You
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a compliance role within the insurance sector (retail experience essential)
- Strong understanding of the FCA Handbook and its practical application
- Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence senior stakeholders
- Commercially aware with a pragmatic approach to regulation
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- ACII qualification (or progress toward it) preferred
- Additional qualifications such as a university degree or ICA Diploma are advantageous
